Our History

It all started in 1995, when a father and his 7-year old son were taking ground balls at a municipal field in Garland, Texas. That summer afternoon they gave way for the "umpteenth time" to teams showing up for practice. It was then that he decided to find a place for his son to practice without being run off. The initial plan was to purchase a very small building in close proximity to their home, but none could be found. This led to the purchase of a much larger facility in Garland, Texas. His thought became, if he and his son had a need for practice facilities, others would also. So, in the spring of 1996, a 10,000 sq. ft. building was purchased and renovated.

The indoor baseball facility featured two batting cages, two pitching cages, team meeting room and seating gallery for parents. An artificial infield was constructed outdoors for team practices. With astro-turf and dirt pitchers' mounds, it soon attracted some of the best baseball players and instructors in the Dallas metroplex. Offering private instruction, team instruction, camps and clinics; it soon became an elite training facility. As time went on the father realized he had the opportunity to fulfill his childhood dream of building a complete baseball complex. In February of 1999 the search began for land. After months of searching, a 10 acre area of wooded land was found in southeastern Dallas adjacent to Interstates 20 and 635. Ground breaking commenced in August of 2000 and Chiesl Baseball was born.

A nostalgic baseball park offering two premier fields and a 30-foot tall "Green Monster." The ballpark also features in the ground dug outs, and a pond between home run fences. Future plans include construction of indoor cages and a field for 9 year olds and under. Hosting league play, sanctioned tournaments, private individual/team instruction and field rentals, Chiesl Baseball will continue to be on the cutting edge in youth baseball.
